The workshop is the culmination of their fundraising efforts throughout the semester. The money they raised through their haunted house and the toys received in their drive will finally be used this Saturday. Children will be able to play games, watch movies, eat holiday desserts, make arts & crafts, and even take a picture with Santa. Santa’s Workshop will be a community fundraising event so any and all children can come to the festivities. Admission to the haunted house will be just two dollars per child or a donation for the Children’s Cabinet. The proceeds that they gather will go towards supporting the Children’s Cabinet of Reno, a non-profit organization that provides several resources to members of the community in need. These services include food and shelter, child care resources, crisis intervention and case management, academic support, tutoring, transitional living, mentoring, parenting classes, child care subsidies, child care resource and referral assistance, and free family counseling.
